A Marvel TV Show About a Superhero With impostor Syndrome, Hawkeye:

Who is the best Avenger? There’s no shadow, but when it comes to Marvel movies, you probably won’t find many people choosing the guy with the bow and arrow.

But that’s one of the things explored in the new Disney+ TV show, Hawkeye, where Avengers Archer finally gets a chance to get noticed.

The series marks Jeremy Renner’s 10th playing as Hawkeye / Clint Barton. “I like the concept of Clint being a guy who’s been elevated to Avenger but is a human, and I think he feels that insecurity and reality,” said director and executive producer Rhys Thomas said at Radio 1 Newsbeat.

“He is stating about a man dealing with self-worth and being an almost element of imposter syndrome. ” That’s part of the joy of stepping in and dealing with Hawkeye’s identity is something where you are defined but know the inner reality. “

Jeremy says that these are the reasons Hawkeye is such a close character to fans of the series.

Jeremy told Newsbeat: “I’ve always liked the way he anchors the fantasy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) because he’s a superhero with no superpowers.

“This is why they fought in the first place because he has his own family and children.”

This time, in the absence of the big name of the Avengers, Hawkeye teamed up with franchise newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, who plays Kate Bishop.

Kate is a Hawkeye fan and avid archer.

The flashback at the beginning of the first episode shows Kate witnessing the events of the first Avengers movie as a child, seeing Hawkeye help save New York City from an alien invasion.

They collaborate on this new series, with Clint Barton acting as a mentor to young fans and potential future Avengers.

“I feel like there’s a similar dynamic between Kate and Clint as well as between us and me personally,” Hailee told Newsbeat.

“I’m excited and always ready for anything thrown at me, just like Kate.”
