Newfoundland and Labrador reported no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, the Department of Health and Community Services announced.
It marked the fifth straight day with no new cases in the province. That, combined with eight recoveries since New Year’s Eve, means the province enters the first full week of 2021 witn nine active cases.
Two of those latest recovereies were reported Sunday. One person has recovered in the Eastern Health region and one person has recovered in the Central Health region.
In total, 374 people have recovered from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic.
One person is in hospital due to the virus.
To date, 73,080 people in the province have been tested.
